Position: Quality Control Technician
Job Location: Vienna, VA
Duties:
Conduct chemical or physical laboratory tests to analyze the quality and efficacy of herbal medicines, acupuncture materials, and skincare products. Maintain, clean, or sterilize laboratory instruments or equipment used in the preparation and analysis of herbal treatments and cosmetics. Monitor product quality to ensure that all herbal medicines and beauty treatments comply with established standards and specifications. Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses using techniques such as chromatography or spectroscopy to evaluate the components of herbal infusions and other natural products. Prepare chemical solutions for treatments and products, following standardized formulas or creating experimental formulations for new skincare therapies.
Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses to assess the effectiveness of various treatments, including detox and fertility acupuncture. Provide and maintain a safe work environment by participating in safety programs and conducting safety audits within the clinic’s laboratory. Provide technical support or assistance to practitioners in the clinic regarding the preparation and application of herbal treatments and acupuncture methods. Develop or conduct programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards of raw materials used in treatments and products. Train new employees on proper laboratory procedures, equipment
operation, and safety protocols specific to herbal medicine and beauty treatments.
Write technical reports or prepare graphs or charts to document experimental results and product evaluations related to skincare and acupuncture materials.
Order and inventory materials necessary for the preparation and analysis of herbal and beauty products to ensure consistent quality. Operate experimental pilot plants to assist in developing new herbal treatments or beauty products. Support or monitor the work of other employees involved in the production and quality control of herbal medicines and skincare products. Design or fabricate experimental
apparatus to innovate new products or processes for enhancing treatments offered in the clinic.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Applied Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
